Here are some vintage Thanksgiving illustrations and postcards from the Picture Collection. The first image is a Collier’s Weekly cover by F.X. Leyendecker, 1919. The next one is an Edward Penfield illustration, ca. 1920. The rest are from the vintage postcard collection.

Odd Nerdrum in the Picture Collection

Sometimes the Library’s loss is the Picture Collection’s gain. A withdrawn/damaged book of work by Odd Nerdrum came to the Picture Collection to be clipped, and we were able to add many new samples of this Norwegian figurative painter’s work to our files.
Also added recently is a large collection of postcards of London Transport posters. [...]
