The Video/DVD collection at the Fleet Library has grown since 1986, responding to the needs of RISD faculty and students. It is an eclectic collection, encompassing popular films such as the very recent Slumdog Millionaire, and also some rare experimental material, such as films by Bruce Conner. The richness of the collection is due to the varied tastes and creativity of the RISD community, and we thank all the individuals who, through their requests and suggestions, have made this collection what it is today.
To all RISD faculty, staff and students, please make comments about your favorite films from the RISD collection on this blog, and send us your suggestions. Your input is critical to developing a meaningful collection.
